ANSI/ISEA Z87.1-2010
On April 13, 2010, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), in conjunction with the International Safety Equipment
Association (ISEA), issued a revised edition of the American National Standard for Occupational and Educational Personal Eye
and Face Protection Devices (ANSI/ISEA Z87.1-2010). The revised standard focuses on helping users of eye and face protectors
select products designed for specific hazards. The standard is organized by hazard type such as splash/droplet, impact, optical
radiation, dust, fine dust and mist. Compliance requires new product markings as well as changes to existing markings.
Notable changes include:

impact-rated requirements are marked “Z87.”
Products that meet both the general and impact-rated requirements are designated as “impact” and are marked “Z87+.”

Pittsburgh, Pa., October 2010 – Finding the right safety eyewear is a personal choice – what feels

The new Sightgard line offers more styles, features and options. Lens options include: anti-fog and
